Description

Montasio is a semi-hard, cow's milk cheese originating from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions of Italy. It is known for its creamy texture, mild to mellow flavour, and characteristic "partridge eye" formation (small, regular, shiny holes) in the paste. The cheese is traditionally aged for a minimum of two months, but can be aged for longer, with the texture becoming harder as it ages.
